Designed for permanent or retrievable applications, Sabeus Field Sense MPT fiber optic temperature sensing systems provide real time distributed temperature readings up to 250°C. The systems are made up of two principal elements: a) The topside Surface Readout Unit (SRU) which includes the lasers, computers, software, various power options, communications modules, cabling and field enclosures; and b) The downhole fiberoptic sensor cable built to various specifications depending on the operating temperatures inside the well, and how many fibers are used in the system.
